    Korean shows have been doing well across the globe. From K-drama to K-pop, the world has received them with open arms and has appreciated them at each step. The crazy massive fan following that Korean stars have been able to build is surprising and unbelievable. Startup is one such popular K-drama that has been made and shot across the different locations of South Korea. It has been streaming across Netflix and has been received very warmly by its fans and audience. 

    The show revolves around a young businesswoman who runs a successful startup. She remembers a man named Nam Do-san who is a math genius to be her first love. Nam has a completely failed business and to fulfill his selfish motives he decides to take advantage of the misunderstanding created between him and the protagonist of the story. He then tries to crawl back to the love story and make it true.

    Start-Up is a popular South Korean show that belongs to the genre of drama and romance. The show has been created by Studio Dragon and has been written by Park Hye-ryun. It has been directed by Oh Choong-hwan and stars Bae Suzy, Nam Joo-hyuk, Kim Seon-ho, and Kang Han-na in important roles.

     It has been shot across the locations of South Korea and has been made in Korean. It has one season and 16 episodes. The executive producer of the show is Yoo Sang won and the show has been produced by Hwang Ki-Young, Son Sa-Yong, Lim Hyeong-seo, and Kwon Kyung-hyun. 

    Each of its episodes has had a running time of 72 to 85 minutes. The production company involved in its making was HiSTORY D&C and its official distributors were tvN and Netflix. The show had a successful run from October 17 to December 6, 2020.

    Plot:

    The show is based on the backdrop of the start-up world. It revolves around the life of Seo Dal-mi, the protagonist of the show who lives in Sandbox, South Korea. Sandbox is the silicon valley of South Korea and Seo Dal-mi is the Steve Jobs of Sandbox. She is a young and smart businesswoman who owns a super successful startup. 

    Another businessman named Nam Do-san is the owner of a failed business. Nam Do-san finds out that Seo Dal-mi has mistaken him for the guy who was her first love. He has a failed business and wants to gain back respect in the eyes of her family so he decides to continue the confusion and take benefit from it. He continues to play her lover.

    The first season of start-up was received quite warmly by its fans. Ever since the first season went off air, fans have been waiting for the second season. However, the makers of the show haven’t really expressed an interest in renewing the show for a second season.
