Robert Ramsey Tebow II, born on January 27, 1948, is an evangelist and a missionary. He is the father of Tim Tebow, an American football player. Robert is a proud father of five children, Katie, Robby Tebow, Christy Peter, and Tim Tebow. Robert’s father was a businessman moving from place to place, trying to make money. Robert desired to make money as his father; he says his goal was to get a job and make a million dollars.
In college, Robert’s interests changed since money didn’t interest him anymore. He became interested in Christianity after Christmas in 1964 when he attended a Young Life conference. Through lectures and presentations, Robert became a Christian. With his Christian faith, he founded Campus Crusade for Christ in his college; that is how his life in ministry started.
Robert also played football in the quarterback position; he played for God Squad, reaching three U.F. intramural championship games but lost all of them to B.F. Bombers.
Education
Robert Tebow II studied at the University of Florida, where he obtained a bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Performance. He furthered his studies by obtaining a Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from Western Seminary Portland Campus.
His Son
Robert’s son started playing football in high school, and even though he was homeschooled, he would often join in high school games. He also played college football at the University of Florida and became the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy. He played for Denver Broncos, New York Jets, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, and Jacksonville Jaguars in his professional football career.
Tim Tebow played in Florida Gators Football year throughout his college life. In his first year, he was a backup, but he soon broke into the first team, and in his second year, he helped his team win the BCS Championship. Robert’s son was chosen by his teammates as the Gators’ most valuable player for three consecutive years.
In his personal life, Robert’s son married Demi- Leigh Nel-Peters, a South African model. They got engaged in January 2019 and married a year later. Despite the couple being married for over two years, they have no children, but Tim will be happy to have them when the time comes.
Robert has done ministry work for over 40 years; his net worth cannot be a lot given the much he gives to the community, but his son has made enough through his football career, and his net worth is over 5 million dollars.
Ministry Work
Robert Ramsey Tebow II started ministry work soon after college. He worked as an Associate Pastor for Southside Baptist Church for three years; he then became a senior pastor for Cornerstone Community Church before selling his properties in Portland and moving with his family in 1985 to the Philippines.
Robert and his wife set up an orphanage in the Philippines, which they have managed for about 30 years. He also set up safe houses for rescued girls. He houses orphans and children who need help in his orphanages as he tries to instill Christian values.
