Story plot
The story of Live Up to Your Name revolves around a doctor named Heo Im from the Joseon dynasty who is an expert in traditional Korean medicine. He has done specialization in acupuncture. To earn a livelihood, he used to visit the clinic during day hours treating poor people. And in the night, he paid visits to highly-ranked officials and nobles.
Witnessing the popularity of Heo Im for his medicinal skills, he is appointed for the treatment of migraines of the King. Unfortunately, he makes a blunder in liking the anxious condition of the king, after which he was charged for betrayal and was to be imprisoned. But Heo Im had no interest in being put behind the bars, so he dodges the soldiers to escape by running.
The king’s soldiers also chased him and shot an arrow at him when he came nearby to a river, resulting in his supposed death. But he did not die and soon discovered himself in contemporary Seoul in South Korea. He later realizes that he had traveled time. Being lost and perplexed, Heo Im meets Choi Yeon-Kyung, who is also specialized in the medical field. She is a cardiothoracic surgeon employed at Shinhae Hospital. And this starts unimaginable connectivity between time and space.
