    Who was Ida Hitler?

    By TylerDecember 13, 2023No Comments3 Mins Read
    Who was Ida Hitler?

Ida Hitler was the elder sister of dictator and German politician Adolf Hitler. She was born on September 23, 1886, in Braunau am Inn, Austria, and she died in the same place on January 22, 1888, just 1 year a few months after her birth. Ida’s family never mentioned the cause of her death, but she likely died due to an illness.

    Why was Ida’s Brother Famous?

Ida’s brother, Adolf Hitler, was famous for being the leader of the Nazis, and he was responsible for the Holocaust and the Second World War, which led to the death of more than 40 million people. He has remained in the books of history for a long time, and those who know him know his leadership’s impact on the world. For his actions as the leader of the Nazis, Adolf has been the subject of various television shows, books, films, and documentaries, and that is why some people still know him in today’s society.

    The Rise of Adolf Hitler

Ida Hitler and Adolf Hitler were both born Austrians, but it is funny that Ida’s brother became the leader of German Nazis, and yet his origins were those of Austria. Adolf Hitler moved to Germany in the early 1910s and served in the military. During his service in the military, he did a great job and was one of the most decorated servicemen. His reputation preceded him, and this saw him rise through the ranks. He joined various parties, and he even tried to seize power at one point and served a one-year term due to his actions.

After his release from prison, Ida Hitler’s brother gained support due to his fight against communism and capitalism. Besides, he also denounced his Austrian citizenship, and he was stateless for over seven years. Because he was not a citizen of any country, he could not run for office even though he had a lot of support.

Over the years, Ida’s brother served in different positions, but he remained to be the leader of the Nazi party for over 20 years. He also served as the Chancellor of Germany from January 30, 1933, to his death in 1945.

The Health and Death of Ida Hitler’s Brother

Despite being the leader of the Nazis, Adolf Hitler had many health issues; some mention that he had multiple conditions, including coronary sclerosis, tinnitus, skin lesions, irregular heartbeat, and stomach problems. For some, Ida’s brother had personality disorders, and according to his physician, Adolf Hitler was under medications which he later became addicted to.

Ida’s brother was taking many medications for his stomach problems; besides, he was on barbiturates and opiates for his pain. The many drugs he was taking contributed greatly to his deteriorating health. Similarly, in 1944, he was badly injured in the July 20 plot, which worsened his health.

Due to his worsening health condition, several physicians tended to him, but they could not save his life. Ida’s brother’s health had worsened beyond repair. He died on April 30, 1945, in Fuhrerbunker, in Berlin, Germany.
