The Lion Guard is one of the most popular American television series airing on the OTT platforms and some of the American networks. The story of the series follows Kion, the son of King Simba and Queen Naala who has been gifted with the generational power of “Roar of the Elders” and is eventually appointed as the leader of the Lion Guard, the force that protects the Pride lands from Intruders and enemies of peace. He is joined by his appointed members Bunga the honey badger, Beshte the hippopotamus, Fuli the cheetah, and Ono the egret.

Plot:
The son of King Simba and Queen Nala and the younger brother of princess Kiara, the main character of the series is Prince Kion. Kion is the second-born cub of the Noble family and therefore is granted with the rare power that is known as the Roar of the Elders and due to the existence of that power, Kion is appointed as the leader of The Lion Guard.
The Lion Guard is the team that shoulders the task of protecting the Proud lands and the other circles of life in the jungle. The tradition that has been followed for ages states that the Lion Guard should always be made of Lions but even though Kion breaks the tradition by appointing his friends – The Honey badger Bunga, the hippopotamus Beshte, the cheetah Fuli and One the egret.
The group set out on their journey as the Lion Guard to protect the lands that nurture them and help keep them safe from the animals who disrespect the circle of life. Season 2 of the series takes a ferocious turn when Kion’s perished great-uncle Scar comes back as a scary spirit with a motive of eradicating the Pride Lands. The situations eventually cause an all-out war between the PrideLanders and the Outlanders which is the army led by Scar.

Will there be a season 4?
There have not been many updates about the fourth season of the series Lion Guard. The show hasn’t been canceled by Disney in any way but the animation studio that animated Lion Guard shut down its Lion Guard section due to some unknown reasons. A positive response from Disney has always been referring to Lion Guard’s latest season as season 3 but not the final season which makes it hopeful for the release of another season of the show.
