During an interview session with the investigators, he did mention in his statement that he had a great love for his mother but hated her for pushing him into alcoholism and becoming dependent. When he needed her most, she put him in such a situation. And this is something that irked him about her.

Adrien was jobless for a long time
There is one more big reason that forced Adrien Wallace to take an extreme step in murdering his mother. It was unemployment. Adrien did not have a full-time job for a long time. And he desperately needed her help to get him prepared for interviews to find a suitable job, but she paid no heed to what he was going through.
In 2009 he moved with his mother to her home at Lake Oswego. There he used to spend his life playing video games, smoking, and alcoholism. The matter became worse with the mild comment made by nephew Nicholas Brian Juarez to Wallace, who took it as a humiliation.
When confrontation became out of control for Adrien
The confrontation with his mother and nephew became much more serious and explosive, and thinking that he would be ousted from his mother’s house, Adrian shot both of them in rage. Both even tried to escape but were too late to save their lives. After committing murder, Adrien called the police at 911. He even shortly thought of committing suicide after killing the both.
Suffered from Psychosis
During an interview session with Adrien Wallace, that ran for 50 hours, the psychologist came up with the conclusion that the accused had been suffering from a mental ailment called psychosis since childhood. According to testimony by psychologist Henry Miller, Wallace got orders from the god to shoot down his mother and nephew to death on 4th June 2012. He also diagnosed Adriene with paranoid schizophrenia, as according to him, he is unable to strike the difference between imagination and reality.
Conclusion

As per the findings of Chris Owen, Adrian was intelligent, still, he did not have friends and was a loner. He had battled depression since childhood. His condition became worse later. And this made him more violent and that resulted in his killing his mother and nephew.
