The father Nicholas Cachikis, and mother Margaret Curtis Hobbs of Tess Curtis had English and Welsh roots. They had two kids, one was Tess, and another was Tomas. Tess was the elder child. When Tess was ten years old, she lived with her grandmother Margaret Hobbs, her brother Thomas, and her parents. At that time, her father was working as a wagon driver.

Tess Curtis White got married to Horace Logan White in 1921, and they became the proud parents of their only child, Betty White, who was born in Illinois. When the couple was living in Oak Park, Tess gave birth to her child. In 1925, they were in CA, but they lived in Beverly Hills in 1938. She continued inspiring the entertainment industry and became famous for her appearance on talk shows. During the 1960s, Betty White was a well-known personality for talk shows and network game shows. One of the most popular shows of this type was The Tonight Show by Jack Paar and Johnny Carson. She received more appreciation with her Password show from 1961 to 1975. She appeared as a celebrity guest and inspired all with her skills.
Limelight at Old Age
Success embraced Betty White until her old age, and she continued to impress the industry. A Facebook campaign “Betty White to Host SNL (Please)” started in 2010 following the Snicker’s advertisement success. It began in January, and the group approached NBC. Finally, they confirmed that Betty would host the May 8 Saturday Night Live.
At the age of 88, Betty White had such a limelight that young celebrities will aspire to have. She was the oldest person to host a show, and she broke the record of Miskel Spillman, who hosted a show at the age of 80. Miskel Spillman was the winner of the Anybody Can Host Contest’ of the SNL, and Betty White broke this record and hosted at the age of 88.
Death
Betty White died while sleeping on December 31, 2021. She died from a stroke at the age of 99. She had a stroke on Christmas, but she died after six days due to that stroke. Before her death in December 2021, a documentary-style film, Betty-White: A Celebration’ was announced. It had to be released in the theatres in the U.S. on her 100th Birthday.
