Japanese manga and anime based on them have become one of the most popular forms of entertainment in recent times. Sekirei is one such popular anime that is based on a Manga of the same name and written by Sakurako Gokurakuin.
The story of the series “Sekirei” revolves around the 19-year-old Minato Sahashi who’s a young intellectual who faces failure in college entrance exams twice due to his lack of self-confidence. On the day of his second failure, he unexpectedly meets a girl called Musubi who turns out to be a “Sekirei” and chooses him as her “Ashibaki”. The duo then battled other Sekireis in the “Sekirei Plan” competition held by Hiroto Minaka.

Plot:
The story revolves around the 19-year-old Minato Sahashi in the year 2020 who is an extremely intelligent guy who excels in studies but lacks self-confidence which leads to him failing the college entrance exam twice. On the day of his second failure in the college entrance exam, he unexpectedly meets a girl out of nowhere named Musubi.
As the story continues, it comes to his knowledge that she is a “Sekirei” and has chosen him as her “Ashibaki”. The two terms refer to one of the sets of mysterious humans. The humans share a genetic trait and are able to make an official contract by kissing the Sekirei. The contract formed by the kiss binds the Sekirei to the Ashibaki and helps them unlock their full potential of power that they have to use during elimination battles with other Sekirei.
The whole opposing set of parties consists of 108 cute girls, attractive women, and bisexual youth. The Sekireis battle in a tournament is referred to as the “Sekirei Plan” which is organized by Hiroto Minaka who is the founder and chairman of the powerful and mysterious MBI corporation.
