Its original release happened on the SoHo channel in Australia eight years ago on 1st May. After the streaming of four seasons, the crime drama series got a new platform which was Fox Showcase. When the show followed with success, it was picked by one of the top networks Netflix. Here the first two seasons of Wentworth were released together in 2014 in December.

Story plot
The story plot of Westworth is set in modern Australia. The prison drama highlights the life of a female prisoner Bea Smith. She is charged with the attempt to murder her husband, and is sent to Wentworth prison on remand. Because of this, she loses touch with her daughter. Before getting sentenced, Bea leads an undetermined void life. Beginning with the hierarchical steps in Wentworth jail, she is coerced to know about the survival in prison. The series also highlights stories of other women prisoners.
Expected story plot of Wentworth ninth season
In the last eighth season, Joan explains her survival when she was almost burned alive by Will Jackson. In the final ending of the episode, Lou comes to know about the stealing of money for Reb’s surgery and her phone also. She believes Allie is behind it, and brutally attacks her.
But luckily, she gets saved by Marie who presses the button at the right time. When the episode reaches its end, Allie is once again stabbed, this time by Judy leaving her lying in the blood. When the truth came out it exposed Judy. She is the main culprit behind the theft. She did this as per the plan to kill the U.S. Secretary of State. Coming to Joan, she recalls a flood of unpleasant memories of her mental breakdown.
In the 9th season, the story will continue from where season 8 ended. Allie, who faced brutal injury from the attacks by Lou on suspicion, and Judy will experience improvement in her health. The decision of Marie in dealing with Lou will see the series of events that will cause extreme results for everyone. Judy might seem courageous and threatening but she will also confront the unpleasant consequences of her actions. In season 9, viewers would be more inquisitive in expecting what lies next for Joan.
