Early Life
Steve Tyler, or originally Steven Tallarico on March 26, 1948 in Manhattan. Her biological parents are Susan Ray, a secretary and Victor Tallarico, a musician and a pianist. With his father’s influence in music, Tyler’s interest in music started at a very young age.
He attended his high school years in Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, but later on was expelled due to overuse of drugs. However, later on, he graduated from Quintano’s School for Young Professionals.
Late 1960’s when Tyler moved to Boston and became friends with a couple of musicians that eventually became the band, Aerosmith. These musicians are: Joe Perry, the guitarist, bassist Tom Hamilton, drummer Joe Kramer, and another guitarist Ray Tabano. 1969 when they formed the band Aerosmith, with Tyler as the front man and lead singer.
1972 when Aerosmith formed a deal and signed with Columbia Records. The following year, Aerosmith then released their first ever self-titled album.
Their song “Dream On” became a minor hit on its first release then later became one of their signature songs years later. Aerosmith started as low and not that popular. Commercial success and popularity had only been met by Aerosmith on their third and fourth albums, “Toys in the Attic” (1975) and “Rocks” (1976). The band eventually got their sweet success in 1975 when they hit their first mainstream Top 40 hit with “Sweet Emotion”.
Knowing that “Dream On” is still a sleeper hit, they re-released the album in 1976 and surprisingly, it went to No. 6 on the charts. Later that year, they gained another big success with “Walk this Way”. 1976 was a real good year for Aerosmith as they were headlining stadiums and major music festivals.
Like any other famous artist, Aerosmith’s Tyler and Perry were heavily involved with drugs, such as heroin and other stimulants. The band eventually started to grow apart when Perry and Whitford left the band for other ventures. In order to keep the band together, Tyler kept adding new members, however, Tyler got injured in a motorcycle crash that left him unable to go on tour for most of 1981.
1987 when the band released “Permanent Vacation” which includes “Dude” and “Pump”.
While Aerosmith did not get their usual standing in the chart, they continued to enjoy success by getting sales on their records and tour around the world throughout the 90’s, 2000’s, and even 2010’s. Tyler dated fashion model Bebe Buell, which gave them Liv Tyler in 1977. Liv Tyler has also made a name for herself in show business as a successful actress, producer, and just like her father, singer. Tyler gained three grandchildren through the successful marriage of Liv and Royston Langdon.
Steven was married to Cyndria Foxe for 9 great years (1978-1987). Sadly, Foxe died in 2002 due to brain cancer. After their divorced with Fox, Tyler married clothing designer Teresa Barrick. They were blessed with 2 children. A boy and a girl. Tyler and Teresa got divorced in January 2006. Tyler got engaged to Erin Brady in December of 2011, but cancelled the engagement in January 2013.
Year 1975 when a 27-year-old Steve Tyler convinced Julia Holcomb’s parents to sign over guardianship to Tyler so that they can live together in Boston. They lasted three years.
Holcomb became pregnant, however proceed with an abortion due to a house fire that happened. They go on with the abortion due to the reason that the baby might have birth defects because of smoke from the fire and the drugs she took at that time.
