Lorena Johnson was born in the Midwest on August 29th, 1952. Harold, her father, was a poultry farmer, and Ellen, her mother, was a sloper on a dairy farm. She had lung difficulties as a result of extensive smoking as a child. Lorena was an unimpressive student in school, but she struck puberty at a young age and drew attention from her classmates and the school faculty.
Lorena Johnson relinquished her high school studies at fifteen and traveled to Los Santos to flee from her uncle. She dreamed of becoming a movie star or a model. Her innate beauty and childlike naivete drew the attention of the entertainment business when she worked as a waitress for several months, and she became a familiar face on the Vinewood party circuit and casting couch circuit.
A career in the Film Industry
Lorena Johnson was a regular model in print ads, television commercials, and minor acting roles in movies by the early 1970s. She played a role as Beryl, a wise-cracking disabled prostitute, in Richards Majestic Productions’ film Rum Runner in 1973, and she stole every scene she was present.
However, the media labeled her as a “nice face to see without possibly much spark in the eyes,” This meant that while she was attractive, she was not particularly intellectual. She was about to take on the female lead part in The Many Wives of Alfredo Smith, but Peter Dreyfuss abducted, tortured, and murdered her in 1975.
Murder and the death of Lorena Johnson
Peter mutilated Lenora by cutting off her hands and feet and placing them in opposite areas. He removed several facial features, left multiple incisions on her breasts, drew a star on her back with cigar burns, sliced off a portion of her thigh, wrote “ham” on it, and engaged in intercourse on her body. Dreyfuss kept going even though she pleaded to be released, and she kept screaming. When Dreyfuss told her to stay quiet, she refused, so he killed her, taking all the evidence and covering his tracks so that he would not be traced down.
Peter Dreyfuss harassed her family for years after her death, mailing letters, making anonymous phone calls, and sending her locket and severed lips on the murder anniversary. According to several additional rumors/reports, he had stalked her for years before abducting and rapping her.
Following this, he wrote David Richards a confession letter, claiming that he had to kill her (and later torture her family by mailing them pieces of her body) for artistic purposes. He said that the murder would hurt him the most and that inflicting pain on Lorena and her family would provide him with artistic inspiration, even though his words and actions indicated no regret or suffering. Richards tore up the letter and strewn the fragments over Los Santos and Blaine County.
Dreyfuss’ Letter and Confession to the Murder
The Letter Scraps are one of the many collectibles in GTA 5. These letter fragments were related to Leonora Johnson’s infamous GTA world murder.
The letter addressed to David Richards on March 15th, 1975, was written by Lorena’s Killer and confessed his crime. The letter, however, was torn up, and there are now 50 fragments dispersed over Los Santos.
He tells David about how he knew that David was offended by his petit indiscretion but said that he wanted to be understood.
He admits that his actions were a bit inhumane, however, despite that, it was not a bad thing.
Inhumanity is like very watchword, the currency, the very lifeblood of the artist! My inhumanity makes me human. Itis thanks to my inhumanity that I can interact with people with the moral authority of the sinner and the creator, all at once,” he says.
He said that he had to kill her in a way that would hurt him the most by torturing her slowly and painfully. He also sent “remembrances” of their dates with Lenora to her family.
He believed that by pushing Lorena’s family into further suffering, he will prove how much he understood the idea of suffering and figured out how he can portray the act best as an artist.
Isn’t it better that one family suffers so the world can be free to enjoy, learn, and be cleansed by my masterpieces? Do not even bother answering that. The answer is obvious and if you got it wrong, you are less of a man than I thought.
But he tells David that they should not concern themselves with such trivialities and that they were artists, the last of the dying breed.
He mentions Solomon, who is assumed to take over David when he retires as a producer. He says that he dreads the day when the boy takes over because Solomon was a weak livered moralizer hiding in the body of a Vinewood decadent and that the boy did not understand anything about how he and David acted.
Dreyfuss says they act that way not because they can, but because they must.
“And that’s the thing. Some people take advantage of their position in this town for pleasure – as if sleeping with multiple young girls, torturing hitchhikers, or eating dogs could ever be fun? It’s awful. I only do it to experience it so that my art is veracious, deeper, and more meaningful, and I believe you know that.
I cannot wait for you to read my new draft of LEARNED. I have removed cliches that ruined Shakespeare’s plays and found power. The moment, the thing we talked about that wonderful night in Mexico when we paid hookers to stab each other.
I look forward to making supper on Friday again soon. You have always been an inspiration to me.
He wrote these words to close his message and later delivered it to David.
This infamous murder mystery piqued the attention of all players, particularly those who play GTA. Following that, Lenora Johnson became very well-known because of the tragic incident that happened to her.
