Story plot
The story of London Kills revolves around its central character Detective David Bradford. His experience and intelligence make him fit for leading the group dealing in solving murder cases. One of the murder cases he comes across is the murder of the son of a political figure. David witnesses that the deceased had been brutally murdered by his killers as he can see the multiple stab wounds on his body. After getting killed, he was hanged to a tree.
The sudden comeback of Detective David does not go down well with DS Vivienne Cole, who is not at all impressed in giving the murder case MP’s deceased son to him. She raises questions about David’s sudden arrival. Her bond with Detective David is not confined to only professional but also personal.
In each episode of London Kills, viewers will see new murder cases. However, the main plot of this police procedural show is to unlock the mystery of the disappearance of the wife of Detective Bradford. She is not to be seen for 3 months. Even David is finding it challenging to know the whereabouts of his wife. According to him, he had this notion that she must have gone and was not on talking terms with him.
Detective Sergeant Vivienne adds more fuel to the matter in giving her the notion that she might be not alive. Every murder now seems like a conspiracy. And with it, the case of David’s lost wife becomes more complex. There lies some connectivity with the other crimes.
Other members who join Detective David Bradford in solving murder cases
Detective David Bradford and Detective sergeant Vivienne Cole are not the only ones who are tasked with solving crime cases. They are joined by DC Rob Brady. And another is DC Billie Fitzgerald, who seems curious but lacks experience. However, it is surprising to see how the leader leads his group and helps them in becoming a perfect team.
The frightening condition of murder cases will make one stick to the boundary of his/her seat. The first season ended with a twist. It left a question about the wife of Detective David’s disappearance. In the second season, it was shown that the character Amber Saunders is not behind the murder of David’s wife. It also showed how exactly Carly disappeared, and what she has been through.
If you are watching out for an enthralling crime thriller show, then your search must end with London Kills. The depths of this series will keep you glued to it. All kudos to its short duration of running episodes. The show excels in all levels making it a standout in crime genre shows. You must have watched other crime-based television shows, but let me tell you London Kills proves distinctive in terms of compact storyline.
