Story plot
The story of the first part of House of Wax begins when a brother and sister named Nick Jones and Carly Jones are traveling with their friends Paige, Dalton, Wade, and Blake heading towards a football game. But before reaching the spot finally, all the teens stop midway during the evening due to tiredness. And so they all plan to stay at a camp located in the isolated woods, as they find it too late to travel ahead. During that night’s stay, an unknown figure makes a sudden arrival driving a truck. He intends to watch them all.
Two of the teenagers Dalton and Blake tell the driver to leave the spot, and when he doesn’t pay heed to them, the headlight of the car gets smashed via a bottle by Nick. Later on, the truck leaves the spot. But when all the teenagers get on the sleeping mode, they are all filmed secretly by an anonymous figure. Suddenly a noise breaks the sleep of Carly, as she gets up but finds nothing after checking here and there.
On the next day, Wade finds the smashed fan belt of his car, whereas Carly falls into a big pit hole of roadkill. Her group of friends approaches for her rescue. After picking her out from the roadkill pit, Carly and Wade meet Lester. He takes them to a nearby town to find a new fan belt to replace the old smashed one. Whereas the other group goes further for the game.
Laying the trap
Together Ambrose and Carly come to the nearby town of Ambrose with a haunted look. They both meet Bo Sinclair, the man who owns the gas station. He makes an offering for the selling of a fan belt in a day. Meanwhile, both Carley and Wade go to the wax museum, which is the main center of attraction in town.
During the night, both follow Bo to his residence in getting the fan belt. Wade is offered the house restroom by Bo. While exploring, Wade gets trapped by the ugly-looking brother of Bo who takes him to the basement of the restroom house. There his body gets covered with molten wax.
On the other side, Carly sees the truck whose headlight appeared in a broken state. She quickly comes to realize that it must be that truck that appeared that night. Without giving a second thought, Carley tries to flee from the place, but unfortunately gets abducted by restroom owner Bo, who prevents her from escaping in the cellar of the gas station and keeps her mouth shut.
Saving Carly and Wade
The other group including Paige, Nick, Dalton, and Blake who were heading towards the football game, turns back to the campsite. Seeing the absence of Carly and Wade, Dalton and Nick head towards to find the siblings. Paige and Blake sit behind the car to indulge in carnal intercourse with each other.
After arriving at the gas station, Nick counters Bo, who cuts the fingertip of Carly while trying to escape from his clutches and drawing the attention of Nick to save her. Nick puts the hold on Bo, to make Carly escape safely. Dalton on the other hand sacrifices his life while attempting to save Wade coated with wax. He gets into the trap of Bo’s disfigured brother Vincent and gets killed by him.
The brainchild behind House of Wax
The main creator of House of Wax was Trudy, the mother of Bo and Vincent. She passed away before it was supposed to be completed. After her demise, both the brothers aim to fulfill their mother’s mission. Bo manipulates Vincent in killing people and making their wax figures seem real.
Final escape
Other than Dalton, Blake also meets death after being killed by Vincent. After that he goes after Paige, injuring her brutally. Carly and Nick find the wax-coated body of Dalton in the workshop before Bo and Vincent rushes towards them for the attack. But Nick lights up the room with fire, meanwhile, Carly manages to kill Bo. His brother Vincent gets killed by Nick. And finally, both the siblings escape from the building till the time it gets melted to the ground.
Finally, comes the arrival of police who report about how Ambrose has been an isolated spot for years. Being brutally injured, the siblings are taken to hospital, where they come across Lester, who gives them goodbye with a smile on his face.
