Who is Douglas Riesenberg?
Douglas Riesenberg is an ex-American football offensive tackle player in the National Football League for the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and began in Super Bowl XXV. He was born Douglas John Riesenberg in 1965 on 23rd July in Carroll, Iowa. Later on, he got relocated to Moscow, Idaho, earlier in his freshman year of high school. Since 1979, his father Louis had been a professor at the University of Idaho. He also became chairman of the agricultural education department.
At the time when he was in high school in Moscow, he became an all-state offense and defense football player. Not only this, but Douglas also became a 3-time champion in the discus throw sport, plus an all-state basketball player.
When he was heavily selected by colleges from coast to coast, Douglas did go to the University of California, Berkeley to pursue his studies in electrical engineering and computer science. In 1986, he played defense and switched to the offense during his senior season for Golden Bears. The New York Giants even chose him for the 6th round of the 1987 NFL Draft.
Later on, to complete his engineering and education studies in 2005, the soccer player went to Oregon State University in Corvallis. He even did coaching for the offensive line at Redwood High School and provided great help to the Giants in winning MCAL titles from 1998 to 2000. Then for 4 years, Douglas also served as the offensive coordinator for the latter at Corvallis High School. After that, he served at Philomath High School for 2 years. Now he is working as a teacher of mathematics and also as an offensive line coach at Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis.
