Allan Bollea, a famous wrestler, was born Michael Allan Bolea. Allan was born on October 21, 1965, and although he has retired from wrestling, his appearances in World Championship Wrestling have never been forgotten. Allan was a popular wrestler in the late 1990s and was popularly known as Horace Hogan in the ring.
Career of Bollea
Bollea started as a wrestler n the 1990s. He was trained by Boris Malenko and debuted in the Floridan Independent Circuit in January 1990. In the early 1990s, Bollea started competing in promotions like international Championship wrestling.
In 1991, Bollea became part of Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling. In the middle of the same year, he formed a tag team with a gaijin wrestler, The Gladiator, and the two team members had a long-running feud with other wrestlers, Sambo Asako and Atsushi Onita.
In April 1992, Bollea started tagging with Sabu. The duo defeated Onita and Tarzan Goto for the WWA World Martial Arts Tag Team Championship in May 1992 in Tokyo. Bolea and his tag team held the championship until May 24, 1992, when Goto and Gregory Veritchev defeated them.
In 1993, Bollea advanced and joined World Wrestling Federation as the predator. He made a televised debut on January 31, 1993, although he lost to other wrestlers. His final appearance with WWF was in August 1993.
Bollea continued to progress in his career, and in 1995, he performed briefly with Extreme Championship Wrestling under the name “Prey of the Dead.”
In the middle of 1995, Bollea returned to Frontier Martial Arts, where he joined the stable with Hisakatsu Oya, The Gladiator, Mr. Pogo, and Ricky Fuji. Bollea and Oya decided to team together, enabling them to win the FWM Brass Knuckles Tag Team Championship from December 21, 1995, to January 5, 1996. Jason the Terrible and Super Leather defeated the duo in Tokyo, taking the championship.
In 1997, Bollea returned to America and joined World Championship Wrestling. Bollea defeated J.L on February 23, 1997, as Horace Boulder, and he debuted on April 19, officially helping Raven to feat Diamond Dallas Page for WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. In the process, he joined the Flock as Horace Boulder and remained in The Flock until it was disbanded on September 13, 1998.
The fall of the Flock was one of the crucial moments for Bollea. Bollea started using the ring name Horace Hogan to signify he recognized the blood ties with his uncle Hulk Hogan. He joined now and wrestled for nWo in singles and tag competitions.
When Bollea debuted in WCW in 2000, he started wrestling for the world. He participated in promotions like X Wrestling Federation, FMAW, and others.
Personal Life of Allan Bollea
Allan Bollea is the son of Alan Bollea, the brother of a professional wrestler, Hulk Hogan. Bollea’s mother was called Martha Alfonso, and she separated from her husband when Bollea was a child.
Bollea’s mother died tragically after being murdered by her boyfriend, and his father’s drug overdose led to his death. Bollea had two sisters. Bollea has two daughters, but his wife is not known.
The known Mike Awesome, a professional wrestler, was Bollea’s cousin, and they were childhood friends with Bollea. Bollea used to encourage Alfonso to wrestle to help him secure a job with WCW.
